Setting Up Google My Business

There are only 3 easy steps when it comes to setting up your Google My Business account:

  1. Visit https://www.google.com/business/ and click the green button labeled “Start Now”

  2. Either create a new Google account for your business or use an already-existing account

  3. Enter the details of your business in the correct text boxes and click continue

Your business’ Google+ page will be created automatically from the data you entered in the text boxes. Before you can take control of your page, Google will send you a code via email. Verify the ownership by entering the code and you’re done. Congratulations! You have set up your first Google My Business account.

Now that the account is set up it’s time to add the details. There will be a profile completion bar right on the dashboard. Simply follow the steps to complete your profile. It will guide you through the process of adding a profile photo, your business hours, the correct contact information, and so on. When you’re done, click on “Done Editing”.
